Seminars & Classes

Family caregiver conferences, seminars and classes provide practical skills in daily caregiving, current information on support services, emotional support and recognition. Contact your local ALTC office for dates and times of upcoming seminars and classes in your area.

"Taking Care of You: Powerful Tools for Caregiving" is a free six week class for those providing care for functionally disabled adults still living at home.

Transportation
Limited transportation services provide the caregiver who is unable to drive, the opportunity to go to the hairdresser, a class, a place of worship, or other activity of interest.

Medical Equipment
Limited assistance is available to provide durable medical equipment and other goods such as crutches, canes and walkers to help support the caregiver's physical ability to continue providing care in the home.
