If you take care of an
elder or an adult with a disability without pay and you need information or help, read
about the Caregiver Support Services Program.
This is a program
provided by the Southeast Washington Office of Aging and Long Term Care throughout an
eight-county area. ALTC provides a variety of services to help meet the needs of those who
care for vulnerable adults without payment.
After a brief assessment you may be referred to a local service
provider who would be able to meet your needs at no cost to you.
"Taking Care of You: Powerful Tools for
Caregiving" is a free class for the many unpaid caregivers who feel tired and
exhausted from the daily stresses of caregiving.
